According to the Snohomish County arrest book, John Rawlings was from Wisconsin, a laborer, 26 years old, 5’9 1/4″, 200 pounds, with a heavy build and brown eyes and black hair. He arrived at the Snohomish County Jail on 10 November 1916, testified during the trial, and was released 8 May 1917.
